How to Apply

Rolling admissions continue through April.

Our priority admissions season has passed for the 2026-27 school year. A small number of spots remain open across the grades. You can follow the steps below to learn more and apply.

Step 1: Submit the interest form here.

Whether you are hoping to attend a tour, an information session, or just express interest, please submit the form. Your child should be at least 4.8 years old at the start of the school year you are applying for.

Step 2: Join a tour or information session.

After you submit the interest form, you will receive directions to join a group tour or information session. Our building is eight blocks from the Green Street stop on the Orange Line, in a residential building.

Step 3: Submit the application form.

After you visit and have a conversation with our director, the application form will be shared with you to submit. Rolling admissions will continue through April.

Step 4: Be invited to apply for Fair Share Tuition.

After your application form is reviewed, you may be invited to the next step, to fill out the financial aid form.

Learn more about our Fair Share model below.

Our Fair Share Tuition model reflects our values of simplicity and equity.

We aim to use our resources wisely and model to students that learning can be joyful and rich, even without the newest technology or every material comfort. We strive to balance fair compensation for staff and affordable tuition.

Our base “full tuition” rate, paid by some families, is significantly lower than other independent elementary schools in the area, which average at least $15,000 - $30,000 more. Our rate for the 2026-27 school year is $31,887.

Economic diversity has been core to our history. Families can apply to determine their fair share of tuition, and returning families have priority in the process. About half of school families pay less than the full rate, with approximately a third paying less than half rate and some paying as little as $1500. Families who can pay more give accordingly to the Annual Fund.

We rethink and redistribute our personal resources, so that we can enjoy a more collective good: our school community.
